Kokohana-tei is a hot spring inn in a town of spirits that lies between our world and the other world, and fox spirits in the form of girls work there as attendants. Yuzu, a cheerful fox girl who has always lived in the mountains, takes her first job at this high-class inn with no experience at all. Kiri, the dependable head attendant, starts teaching her the basics right away. Yuzu is clumsy and oblivious at first, but her playful, well-meaning nature wins over guests and coworkers alike. With help from the other foxes, the strict Satsuki, easygoing Natsume, critical Ren and quiet Sakura, she learns the job, grows to love the magical world around her, and finds a home among the spirits. The result is a gentle supernatural slice-of-life story.
