A boy and a girl who have already loved each other get one more chance to say goodbye before she disappears forever. The movie doesn't waste time on will-they-won't-they, it starts where most romance ends, in the quiet devastation of knowing exactly what you're losing. Riki holds onto every moment with Kud because some people only get one lifetime, and this one's running out.
Riki Naoe's summer takes an unexpected turn when Masato Inohara hits a baseball into the school's water main and knocks out part of the boys' dormitory. The boys must move into the girls' dormitory until repairs are finished, and room assignments come down to drawing tickets. With too few beds to go around, Riki ends up with a ticket sending him to an uncomfortable clubroom. A nervous Kudryavka "Kud" Noumi works up the nerve to face her feelings and invites him to stay in her room instead. The rest of the Little Busters tease the pair constantly, but Riki remains with her all summer, and as their shared experiences pile up, both begin to wonder whether they want more than friendship. This film adapts Key's visual novel Kud Wafter, a romance spun off from Little Busters!, and mixes drama and romance with supernatural elements.
