Shinkurou, Murasaki and the rest of the female cast set aside a day to relax at a hotel pool, and the outing turns sour when they walk right into a terrorist attack. Other segments are smaller in scale. Ginko's treasured laptop quits on her while she assists Shinkurou with his investigations, which piles more stress onto her. Murasaki needs inspiring moments for her school diary, so everyone ends up doing strenuous exercise, and she sets out to prove that Kirihiko has friends after all. Shinkurou's shabby dormitory room turns out to hide more than one treasure, and there are conversations in the car. The two episodes came bundled with the fifth and sixth volumes of the manga adaptation of the Kurenai light novels. They use new character designs that sit closer to the novel and manga, and mix action with comedy.
