Seirin walks into every gym knowing they're the weakest team there, and season two makes you believe they'll actually lose. The matches stop being about winning and start being about watching five specific players figure out how to survive against teams that shouldn't be beatable. By the Winter Cup, you're not watching basketball, you're watching five guys run into a wall over and over until the wall cracks.

With the Interhigh Championship behind them, Seirin High's basketball team turns its attention to the Winter Cup and trains harder than ever to earn a place in it. The path is blocked by powerhouse programs such as Yousen, Shuutoku and Touou, schools whose strength keeps growing. As Kuroko and Kagami prepare for these battles, old friends come back into their lives, bringing challenges both on and off the court. New skills take shape and new alliances form, while a group of rivals known as the Uncrowned Kings vows to stop the up-and-coming team. Kuroko finds himself torn between his commitment to playing as part of a team and his own desire to win. Seirin's goal remains the same: to defeat the Generation of Miracles.
