As a child, Kenji Tomosaka moves to a seaside town and meets Nanami Konoe, the girl who lives right next door. They have been close ever since. The series moves between the present and flashbacks that reveal how their friendship grew so strong, and whatever happens between them seems to draw them closer rather than drive them apart.
