Minori Amamiya is an orphaned middle school girl whose chronic illness keeps her out of class often, and her classmates target her with cruel rumors. Most who disagree stay silent for fear of becoming the next victim, but Takashi Aoi and Kyouko Tsukihashi quietly decide to befriend her away from school. After one rainy day, Minori stops showing up, having been hospitalized in a faraway town. Two months later, her two friends get an unsigned email about a summer festival in a nearby town. The show is a short-format drama with a slice-of-life focus.
