Nobody was waiting for a Little Twin Stars origin story. Sanrio made one anyway, and it's exactly what comfort anime should be: no plot twists, no emotional gut-punches, just two characters existing in a space designed to make you feel less alone. The kind of thing you watch at 2am when the world is too loud.

Little Twin Stars: Hajimari no Monogatari is a single-episode fantasy ONA released in 2025. Sanrio made the short as part of its celebration marking fifty years of the Little Twin Stars characters. The title translates roughly as the story of the beginning.
