A high school election becomes the stage for something real: a kid realizing that the people around him matter too much to let disappear. The show doesn't pretend this is about saving the world. It's about protecting the one small thing that made school bearable for someone nobody was paying attention to. That's the entire heart of it, and it refuses to cheapen it with anything bigger.

Yuki Ojima loves his comfortable life in the Food Research Club, where members mostly snack on school funds and do little else. That peace is threatened when Satsuki Shinonome, a popular and capable candidate for Student Council president, campaigns to abolish clubs with no merit, including the FRC. Desperate, the club asks the current Student Council president, Yakumo Mouri, for help. His answer is absurd: Yuki should run for office himself. After learning about the problems facing his huge private academy, Yuki decides to enter the race. His childhood friend Chisato, the FRC's chocolate-averse president, joins the effort, and members of other clubs on the chopping block swell their ranks in a drama and romance set around a school election.
