Lupin finally meets a world that moves as fast as he does. The internet, drones, viral games, facial recognition, Part V strips away the comfortable distance between the master thief and modern reality, and suddenly every heist is a sprint against algorithms instead of just cops. It's the franchise proving it doesn't need nostalgia to work: it needs Lupin outrunning the present tense, one impossible job at a time.

Lupin's latest score lands him in an unprecedented bind. After infiltrating Marco Polo, a shadowy dark-web marketplace crawling with criminal enterprise, he pulls off a heist that should cement his legendary status. Instead, his victory implodes when Inspector Zenigata and his forces suddenly surround his hideout, tipped off by a social media game called "Arrest Lupin III" that has gone viral. With Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko at his side in modern-day France, Lupin faces new and old adversaries, new technology and the ghosts of his past, while pursuers use every tool they have to finally bring him down. The action comedy pulls the master thief into a modern landscape of connectivity and chaos, blending his irreverent charm with contemporary threats.
