Someone has framed Lupin the Third for murder, and the weapon is a relic from his past: a silver Walther P38 pistol he once owned, used to shoot Inspector Zenigata. The real shooter remains hidden. Hunting for the killer leads Lupin to a secret island in the Devil's Triangle, home to a bloodthirsty band of assassins called the Tarantulas, whose existence is shielded by powerful government officials around the world. Forced to join the spider-tattooed army alongside Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko, Lupin makes new friends and new enemies while chasing two goals: find the person with his old gun, and carry off the Tarantulas' enormous hoard of gold. The island holds many secrets, and the gang is drawn into a plot that splits its residents apart. Along the way, the story looks back at Lupin's past from before he teamed up with Jigen.
