Fujiko stops being a plot device and becomes a person with her own weight, her own reasons, her own scars. Part 3 plants her character arc in the center where it belongs and doesn't look away when it gets messy. The whole show rides on this shift: suddenly every heist matters less than what it costs the four of them to stay together. Animation flickers and character designs clash between episodes, but the emotional work is so solid it stops mattering. Lupin and Jigen and Goemon orbit around Fujiko's gravity now, and watching them all fail at protecting each other while trying anyway is where this show lives.

Arsene Lupin III, the world's greatest thief, travels the globe pulling off heists to claim its most valuable treasures. He is joined by the sharpshooter Daisuke Jigen and the stoic samurai Goemon Ishikawa XIII. Now and then the beautiful, scheming Fujiko Mine lends a hand, when she isn't betraying him to grab the loot for herself. Hot on their trail is the tireless Inspector Zenigata, who has sworn never to stop chasing Lupin until he is under arrest. The result is a globe-trotting mix of adventure and comedy built around capers and narrow escapes.
