A dragon lies asleep beneath the land, bringing rich harvests while it rests and calamity when it wakes. Its restless shifting creates distortions that spread impurity and evil among people, and now signs point to an enormous distortion that will hit Japan hardest. The gods split their power and give it to a divine messenger, the Shinshi, whose job is to gather mediums called Magica. These magical girls, each standing for a local town in Japan, wield the gods' power as weapons to drive out the impurity. The short-format fantasy grew out of a variety show on 2.5 Dimension TV, and it features characters chosen through illustration contests held on pixiv.
