The pacing is relentless enough that you don't notice there's no actual plot, every episode just slams you with a new ridiculous scenario and a character who commits fully to the bit. Momoka's narration breaks the fourth wall at exactly the moment you need it to, turning her internal screaming into the show's actual comedy beat. This is what happens when a survival game club decides the rulebook is a suggestion, and the girls treat airsoft like it's the most serious sport on earth.

Momoka Sonokawa has changed schools so often, because of her father's job, that they all run together in her memory. Her first day at Aogiri Academy breaks the pattern: a girl carrying twin pistols saves her from a molester, and that girl turns out to be Miou Ootori, president of the Survival Game Club. Miou spots Momoka's knack with a pistol and tricks her into signing up, then keeps using shady tactics to make the reluctant newcomer stay. The club is anything but ordinary. Its members include cosplayer Kayo, Miou's masochistic childhood friend Urara, and part-time model Maya, and they think nothing of wearing ghillie suits in public or bungee jumping off the school building. Stuck with this crowd of survival game fanatics, the stubbornly normal Momoka has to adapt to a school life full of action and comedy.
