A 12-year-old in a magical fish costume gets thrown in a dungeon and finds her only ally in a witch nobody talks about. The show treats this premise with complete sincerity, building genuine stakes and weird friendship out of absurdist materials. Padudu and Nonononn's survival isn't funny because the setup is silly; it's earned because the show respects them both as characters who have to actually fight their way out.
Padudu, a twelve-year-old apprentice witch, has been picked to represent her hometown at the coliseum. She heads off wearing a magical fish costume that keeps her fed and warm. A river carries her off course to Dance Valley, where Mayor Koffy locks her in a dungeon to remove a rival to his town's own candidate. There she meets Nonononn, a mysterious witch also held in the dungeon, and the pair team up in a magical struggle to survive. Her travels also take her to Sweetland, where she competes against Pipin and MyuMyu to gather hanamaru and earn the chance to become a magical girl on Earth. The series is a comedic fantasy adventure released online.
