This is pure fanservice maximalism, uncensored, high-budget, and completely unashamed about what it is. The OVA ditches any pretense of plot and just lets the cast breathe through comedy and relationship beats that the main series never had room for. You need the first season to land here, but if you're already invested, this is what you were actually waiting for.

Maken-Ki! OVA is a pair of original video episodes released in 2012, each packaged with a volume of the manga, the 8th and the 11th. They belong to the franchise of the Maken-Ki! Battling Venus TV series, in which Takeru Ohyama, a perverted teenage boy, enrolls at a newly co-ed school where every student uses an item called a Maken to wield magical powers in duels. Expect action and ecchi content.
