Manga Fairy Tales of the World is a 1976 TV anthology spanning 127 episodes, each one retelling a well-known fairy tale drawn from somewhere around the world. Not every tale comes from oral tradition: some episodes adapt celebrated books, with The Iliad among the sources. Drawing on adventure, drama and fantasy, the series offers a fresh story in every installment.
