The movie strips away the detective plot noise and forces you to sit with why Haibara matters at all. You watch her go from a terrified kid in a lab coat to the person Conan actually trusts, and it's not a redemption arc, it's a survival story told backwards. The Mystery Train framing isn't just nostalgia; it's the moment she stopped running alone.

Ai Haibara takes center stage in this Detective Conan compilation movie built around her past. It reworks the four-episode Jet-Black Mystery Train story from the TV anime (episodes 701 to 704), an arc presented as the first meeting between Haibara and Conan. Key Haibara moments from elsewhere in the television run are woven in, and new footage at the end links the film to Kurogane no Submarine. Suited to fans of the mystery franchise who want a Haibara-focused look back.
