A boy meets a talking milk carton and resists it. That absurd premise never breaks, Kevin stays earnest, the island stays quiet, and somehow a kid learning to drink milk becomes the whole point. Takeru Daigo is a Tokyo boy who can't stand milk. One summer vacation he travels alone to Ushiojima to stay with his grandmother Tomi, and there he gets a surprise: a talking milk carton named Kevin lives in her refrigerator. Kevin urges Takeru to drink milk, but the boy says no. Undeterred, Kevin turns winning Takeru over into his personal mission, calling on his fellow milk friends from around the island to help him.
