Nobody's trying to save the world or unlock ancient powers. Hosaka is just standing in a kitchen trying to impress a girl with food, Mako-chan is panicking about being discovered, and Fujioka is desperately chasing chocolate. The comedy comes from how hard these people are failing at the simplest things, and how much they care anyway.

With Valentine's Day drawing near, several characters from Minami-ke each have their own concern. Hosaka keeps trying to show his feelings for Haruka through his cooking, while Mako-chan, who cross-dresses, worries about being discovered. Kana takes on the role of teacher and coaches the other girls on how to come out on top on Valentine's Day. Fujioka, meanwhile, is anxious to get chocolate from Kana. This single-episode OVA is a comedy and slice-of-life special, adapted from Sakuraba Koharu's seinen manga, and it was packaged with the limited edition of the manga's sixth volume in 2009.
