Shigeo Nagashima, the postwar baseball star known as "Mr. Giants" in his playing days with the Yomiuri Giants, is the subject of this single animated special. Told in a documentary style, the drama picks up his story in the years right after the war ended and presents him as one of the emblematic players of that era. Fans of sports dramas and baseball history get a portrait of a real athlete rather than a fictional hero.
