Twenty-five more episodes of a fox who has never once landed a scheme cleanly, and you will still be rooting for him by minute three. Zorori's whole deal is the grind: he wants to be King of Pranks, he wants the castle, he wants the bride, and every plan collapses in a way that somehow leaves someone better off than before. Ishishi and Noshishi are still trailing behind him, still hungry, still loyal past the point of good sense, and the show knows that the boar twins bickering is worth as much as any punchline. It's Yutaka Hara's storybook logic played straight: gag-of-the-week structure, zero heavy themes, jokes pitched at kids that land harder on adults who notice how precisely they're timed. After two seasons of this Motto! run the formula hasn't gotten tired, because the joke was never the failure, it was the fact that Zorori gets up the next morning and tries again. Bring the same energy his mother would want to see.

Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori comes back for a second season, running 25 episodes on TV in 2021 as a direct sequel to the previous run. The wider franchise, which grew out of Yutaka Hara's storybooks, centers on Zorori alongside his companions Ishishi and Noshishi. Like the entries before it, this season mixes adventure with comedy.
