Nobody talks about this one. A student animation that builds a whole world inside the act of making something impossible, where blue eggs and pillow stuffing and cookie flowers stop being ingredients and become proof that creation itself is the point. The cake never matters. Watching someone decide what goes into it, moment by moment, is everything.

A strange cake sits at the center of this short fantasy film, and the question is how anyone could make it. The recipe calls for unlikely things: eggs that are blue, flowers made of cookie, the fluff from inside a pillow, along with plenty more. The film blends slice of life and fantasy, and it was made in 2021 as a first-year student project in the animation department of the Tokyo University of the Arts graduate film school.
