This is a show about Buddhist deities as pretty boys that commits completely to being gentle instead of epic. The plot barely matters because every episode is just these characters existing together, joking around, and occasionally remembering they have a demon to fight. The real antagonist is boredom, and the show refuses to let it win.

Long ago, Shaka Nyorai reached enlightenment and freed the world from suffering and strife. That peace does not last. Māra, the embodiment of worldly desires, allies himself with the devil to take revenge on Shaka Nyorai and bring ruin upon humanity once more. To stand against him, the divine beings Taishakuten and Bonten join forces with the Thirteen Buddhas. This twelve-episode fantasy TV series, adapted from a DMM Games title, pits these figures drawn from Buddhism against Māra's assault in a fight to save humankind.
