This is the coda to a series that spent twelve episodes turning a rock behind a Shimoda shrine into the most emotionally loaded object in anime, and the whole point was never the wishes, it was Natsumi, Saki, Yuka and Rinko refusing to let a school transfer be the end of anything. The show ran on low spectacle by design: sea air, cicadas, four girls arguing on a bike ride, magic that only ever existed to force them to say the thing out loud. Sphere voicing themselves as a friend group, essentially, gives the whole thing an unfair authenticity. If the finale left you wanting one more afternoon with them, that is exactly what this is, no arc, no stakes, just the fifteenth summer vacation. Watch it, then sit there for a minute.

A seven-minute OVA epilogue to the 2012 TV series Natsuiro Kiseki, released the same year. The original series centers on four friends, Natsumi, Saki, Yuka and Rinko, and a large rock at a Shinto shrine in Shimoda that is said to grant a wish when four close friends make the same one together. In the series, their summer of magic unfolds as Saki's school transfer approaches. The epilogue is a short slice-of-life follow-up to that story.
