A nineteen-year-old boy sees his ex-girlfriend across a crowded room and thinks he's found his second chance. The entire OVA is built around that one delusional moment, that perfect mise-en-scène in his head where everything aligns. The animation doesn't move much, but every frame is a Patrick Nagel painting come alive, every background a museum display of 1990 Tokyo frozen in citypop amber. The plot is thin because it has to be. What matters is the feeling of standing in a club at night, watching someone you once knew become a stranger again, while synthesizers hum the truth he's too young to hear.

Kubota is nineteen and ready to find a girlfriend. Back in junior high he had a serious crush on Masana Fujisaka, who was dating Kazuya at the time, and years later his feelings for her have not faded. When he runs into her at a club, she is surprised to see him and has just split with her longtime boyfriend. Kubota sees his chance, but it is not clear whether Masana is truly ready for something new, or whether his feelings will keep him from seeing what is really going on. A single-episode OVA drama and romance about a first love that never quite ended.
