A ninja hunted by his own kind has nowhere left to run except forward. Kamui is on the run, hunted by ninja who will not stop chasing him, and the film centers on the violent clash between him and his pursuers. Rather than new animation, it is a theatrical cut that stitches episodes 21 through 26 of the Ninpuu Kamui Gaiden television series into one continuous story. Toho released it in cinemas in 1971.
