Juuzo's a guy with a gun for a head trying to save a girl while everyone around him treats him like a weapon that needs reloading. The weight of that contradiction, treating a person like equipment, then expecting him to feel loss when they break, is the show's entire engine. Season 2 pivots from "how does a cyborg survive" to "why should a cyborg bother," and it never flinches from how dark that question gets. The action is brutal because the stakes aren't about winning, they're about whether any of these people are allowed to want anything beyond what their creators programmed them to want.

Juuzo Inui, known as Gun Slave Unit Device 13, takes on a new mission: rescuing Rosa McMahon, a girl who carries valuable data that the Berühren Corporation wants. The story continues from the end of the first season. Tetsurou is still shaken by Colt's death and vows that he will never hesitate again. Pepper, who already controls the Gun Slave Unit Seven, is set on making Juuzo her property as well. Wachowski, head of the anti-Extended terrorist group Spitzbergen, pressures Tetsurou to use Harmony to order Juuzo to destroy Seven, who works for Berühren. Through corruption and double-crosses, Berühren keeps control of events in this sci-fi action drama.
