Hotaru came to the countryside expecting nothing, and that became the entire point. There's no arc to chase here, no lesson waiting at the finish line, just four girls finding that the smallest moments in a nowhere village matter more than anything a city could offer. Watch it if you've ever realized too late that you were happy while it was happening.

Far from Tokyo, where she grew up, Hotaru Ichijou now lives in Asahigaoka, a small countryside village with an unhurried rhythm. City excitements and city stresses are both absent, and the place can look dull at first, yet Hotaru has made friends there to spend her days with. Across all four seasons, the group enjoys whatever the local landscape provides. The single OVA episode was never broadcast and was instead packaged with manga volume 10. Expect a relaxed comedy built on ordinary moments of slice-of-life village living.
