You're not watching a premise. You're watching an April Fool's joke that knew exactly how hard to commit to the bit. Five minutes of pure velocity, zero apologies, just the Noragami cast with cat ears doing exactly what you'd expect them to do if they had cat ears, played completely straight. It ends before the joke can wear thin.

Noraneko is a single-episode comedy short released online on April Fool's Day 2014. It takes the cast of Noragami and gives every character a pair of cat ears, a joke reflected in the title, which translates to stray cat. Built as a one-off holiday gag rather than a story in its own right, it is aimed mainly at viewers who already know the characters from the main series.
