// WHY IT HITS

A short film about being lost that somehow finds you in the missing space between where you are and where you think you should be. The animation doesn't move to impress you; it moves to let you sit inside the feeling of dislocation, the way a passenger notices the world only when they stop looking for it. This is the kind of work that makes you realize how rarely cinema lets you just exist in uncertainty.

SYNOPSIS

A young woman drifts through spaces that exist between moments. Tokyo's streets blur into abstract landscapes. Conversations happen in rooms that shouldn't connect to each other. She moves forward without knowing if she's actually going anywhere, caught between the desire to be present and the constant sensation of displacement. The film follows her attempt to untangle what "now" means when everywhere she goes feels like nowhere at all. Memories fold into present moments. Familiar locations become strange. She searches for something solid to hold onto, some proof that her existence actually matters in this disconnected world. What emerges is less a narrative puzzle and more a portrait of contemporary alienation rendered through experimental animation. The visual language itself becomes the story, with fluid transitions and shifting perspectives that mirror internal confusion. This isn't about finding answers. It's about learning to exist within the question itself, discovering that nowhere might actually contain everything worth finding.
