The original OddTaxi ends mid-conversation. This movie finishes it, then keeps talking. You get the answers the TV series owed you, delivered through character interviews that let you see what was always true about these people but hidden behind their schemes. Most of the runtime is recap, so this is only for people who need closure on a show that refused to give it cleanly. But if you watched the series and wondered what happened after the final frame, this is the only way to know.

On October 4, a high school girl disappears, setting off a chain of unpredictable events. To work out what happened to her, the key witnesses tied to the case each describe what they saw before and after the crime, and their accounts all lead back to one man: taxi driver Hiroshi Odokawa. Odokawa is a quiet, narrow-minded loner with no family, whose only friends are his doctor Gouriki and his old high school classmate Kakibana. His passengers are an odd bunch too, among them a college student chasing online attention, a nurse with secrets and a comedy duo. The film reconstructs the television anime and continues past its finale with a new story by Kazuya Konomoto, blending drama, mystery and psychological thriller.
