These six minutes at a time let the side characters breathe in ways the main series never bothers with. Puri Puri Prisoner and Bang get actual moments instead of punchlines. The animation wobbles, sure, but the writing remembers what made those early specials work: letting comedy happen between people instead of around them.

One-Punch Man Season 2 OVA gathers six short specials that never aired on television and instead came bundled with the Blu-ray and DVD release of the franchise's second season. Released in 2019, the collection offers bonus episodes that mix superpowered action and comedy with science fiction and supernatural elements.
