SYNOPSIS
During the Bakumatsu period, a young swordsman named Tetsunosuke navigates the chaos of 19th century Japan as a member of the Shinsengumi, a militia group defending the shogunate. When the Festival of Gion arrives, Tetsunosuke and his comrades find themselves caught between the festive atmosphere and the violent undercurrents threatening to tear their fractured nation apart. Beneath the colorful lanterns and traditional celebrations, assassination plots and political intrigue simmer, forcing the group to balance their duty to protect the city against their desire for a moment of peace. The special weaves together intense sword combat with character-driven moments that reveal what these warriors truly fight for beyond their orders.
