A woman stumbles into the Shinsengumi during the fall of the samurai, and suddenly she's the only person keeping these supernatural warriors human. In 1864, Chizuru Yukimura travels to Kyoto disguised as a man to search for her missing father, a doctor she has not heard from in months. On arriving, she witnesses a bloody clash between members of the Shinsengumi and crazed, demonic white-haired men. The Shinsengumi take her into custody and debate whether to let her live, until they learn who her father is: they have been looking for him too. They decide to protect her and aid her search. Her father turns out to be more tied to the group than they admit, and Chizuru is drawn into their fights with enemies and the political unrest gripping Kyoto. Adapted from a romance adventure game aimed at women, the story mixes historical action, drama and the supernatural with romance.
