Anime Like Planzet
Planzet is a 3D CG spectacle that treats animation as the story itself, not decoration for it. The retro-futuristic visuals and alien invasion sequences have a weight and texture that most modern CGI anime forgot how to build. The script is thin and the characters exist only to move you between set pieces, but every set piece matters, this is pure visual sci-fi cinema for people who came to watch the world burn, not to know the soldiers burning it.
SYNOPSIS
In 2047, an alien invasion reduces Earth's civilization to ash in a single catastrophic strike. Six years later, humanity has clawed back from the brink with the Diffusor, a weapon that holds the invaders at bay and grants a fragile stability. Now in 2053, the survivors prepare for their last chance: Plan Zed, an all-or-nothing offensive designed to reclaim their planet and strike back at the enemy known as FOS. Hiroshi Akishima pilots for the Planetary Defense Forces Alliance, driven by a personal hunger for vengeance. His father died in the initial invasion, and this operation represents his only chance to answer that loss. But Plan Zed demands a terrible sacrifice. The Diffusor must be shut down to launch the assault, stripping away Earth's only protection and leaving billions completely defenseless. What unfolds is a high-stakes gamble where every decision carries the weight of human survival. Mecha combat meets desperate strategy as soldiers push toward a future that remains brutally uncertain. One wrong move means extinction.
