Portable Airport is a three-minute animated music short made by Studio Kajino, a small outfit linked to Studio Ghibli. Yoshiyuki Momose, who directed the Ghiblies, oversaw the production. The short played in theaters as part of a double bill ahead of the live-action Cutie Honey film. A DVD release was planned for 16 November 2004 on the Ghibli ga Ippai Special Short Short collection, which gathers it with other Ghibli shorts such as On Your Mark, Sorairo no Tane, Space Station No.9, Nandaro and assorted commercials.
