The entire franchise assembles, 32 Cures across every era, no exceptions, and the film treats them all as equally real, equally necessary. Watching them lose their power and fight anyway is the entire point. This is a love letter to everyone who has ever believed in magical girls, dressed as a movie where the magic itself gets stolen and they save the day through sheer refusal to stop.

The Pretty Cures are invited to a party held in their honor, and everyone sets out for the venue, the School of Fairies. A mysterious shadow is waiting for them there, and it steals their transformation items. Unable to transform, the Cures are in serious trouble, because if the shadow is left unchecked it will consume the school, our world and everything else. All thirty-two Pretty Cures join forces to protect everyone in this Mahou Shoujo film.
