The assassination attempt forces Ange to choose between protecting Mary and staying hidden, a tension the show has been building toward since episode one, this is what all that groundwork was actually for. Charlotte and Ange's dynamic sharpens under real pressure; watching them navigate a threat that doesn't care about their cover stories feels earned rather than manufactured. The Cavorite bombs give the plot teeth, but the movie knows the actual danger is what happens when your oldest lie gets close enough to the throne to shake hands with it.

Royal blood makes you a target. After a failed attempt on Richard's life, assassins strike again, and Princess Mary, next in line to the throne, becomes their prey. Team White Pigeon has to keep her safe while also hunting down deadly Cavorite bombs that have been smuggled into the country. The danger is personal: Ange is really Princess Charlotte, Mary's sister, living in disguise, and she is a target too. The second of six films continuing the Princess Principal TV series, this is an action adventure with sci-fi elements and a ticking clock.
