Manaka Mizusawa, a third-year junior high student in Nikko City, is asked by her teacher to put up a poster for a trial ice hockey class run by the Dream Monkeys, the city's girls' team. She decides to attend herself and persuades her younger sister Ayaka and her childhood friends Kaoruko and Mami to come along. At the class they meet fellow third-years Riko and Naomi, and practice leaves all of them hooked on the full-contact sport. When coach Youko invites them to join the team officially, the girls work through practice games and training camps, growing as players and coming together as a team. Their aim is to reach the top as the Dream Monkeys head into the tournament. The show is a sports and slice of life series with musical elements.
