Nikola spends her days gathering firewood in a quiet village in Bayle, the smallest and most peaceful of five small, constantly feuding countries packed onto the island of Clayborne. Her routine never bores her, until a massive dragon, a creature meant to live only deep in the mountains, appears before her and threatens the village. Just then a man named Haga rushes to the scene. He belongs to the King's Seekers, a top secret team formed to investigate the strange troubles afflicting their world. Fascinated by Haga and his travels, Nikola decides to venture out herself, and begins to learn what her world truly is. Both she and Haga keep secrets of their own. The result is a comedic fantasy adventure adapted from Satou Masamichi's manga.
