Four high school boys at completely different romantic stations somehow make their disasters feel like yours. The comedy never punches down, it lands because you recognize yourself in at least one of their catastrophes. This show understands that romance in high school is mostly embarrassment and miscommunication, and that's the funniest thing that can happen to you.
Four high school boys chase love and friendship in wildly different ways. Natsuki is a hopeless romantic who falls apart after being dumped on Christmas Eve, only to be captivated by Anna, a girl in a Santa suit who hands him tissues at his lowest moment. Anna goes to his school, so Natsuki has a real chance at the romance he dreams about. The problem is that his three best friends will not let him handle it alone. Tomoya juggles several girlfriends with shameless confidence. Keiichi is a sadist who carries a whip everywhere. Tsuyoshi is an otaku with a cosplaying girlfriend. While chasing their own romantic goals, these three keep meddling in Natsuki's pursuit of Anna. The result is a comedic slice of life look at high school romance, told in short episodes. Each episode also pairs the anime with a live-action segment, club RAINBOW!, which goes behind the scenes of the production and Japanese voice acting.
