The chemistry between Ranma and Akane has stopped pretending to resolve itself, and that's when the show finally gets funny. Two seasons in, you stop waiting for the confession scene and just watch them orbit each other, arguing their way through curses and chaos like a couple who'd rather die than admit they're already in love. The 2024 animation keeps nailing the physical comedy that made the original work, but now it's serving a relationship that refuses to move forward, and somehow that refusal is the entire joke.

Ranma's curse continues to complicate his life at the Tendou dojo in this third season of the 2024 adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2. Cold water still turns him into a girl and hot water changes him back, while his arranged engagement to Akane Tendou keeps the two of them at odds. Expect more of the slapstick action, comedy and romance that define the series.
