In 2061, fifty years after the Network society took shape, people still rely on it despite leaked personal data and doctored information. A more secure realm called the Metal, short for Meta Real Network, now stores personal memories inside protected enclaves known as bubble shells. Feeling safe there, people give free rein to instincts and desires that the rules of real life hold back. The clash between those two worlds produces strange incidents, and specialists called cyber divers are sent into the depths of the Metal to investigate them. Masamichi Haru is one such diver, looking into cases that sit between reality and the Metal in a sci-fi mystery with action elements.
