Anime Like Revisions
Daisuke's hero complex doesn't soften, it's the entire point, the thing that gets people killed and makes him unbearable to watch until he finally breaks. The time travel mechanics actually work, each loop revealing something the last one hid, turning five kids thrown 300 years forward into the only people who can stop it from happening at all. CGI carries the whole thing, and it's rough enough that casual viewers bounce off, but if you stay it becomes invisible, you stop noticing the mecha and start only seeing the choice each character makes to go back.
SYNOPSIS
Five teenagers wake up to find their entire neighborhood catapulted three centuries into a hostile future. Daisuke and his friends are stranded in a wasteland of ruins and overgrown forests, separated from everything they've ever known. The only way home means piloting colossal mechanical weapons alongside mysterious inhabitants who call themselves Revisions. Daisuke quickly discovers he's uniquely capable of controlling an advanced mecha unit called String Puppet, though he has no idea why. As they adapt to this strange new reality, fragments of Daisuke's forgotten past resurface. A girl named Milo holds answers he desperately needs, but her connection to his childhood abduction raises more questions than it solves. The teens must master their giant machines and uncover the truth behind their displacement while battling both external threats and the weight of a mystery that seems designed specifically for them. Time is collapsing around them, and their choices might determine whether anyone makes it back.
