A robot with a TV in his stomach living in a village full of other robots should be absurd enough to collapse under its own premise. Instead, it commits fully to the bit and never looks back. The warmth is real even when the chaos is completely stupid, and that's the whole formula, ridiculous situations where a genuinely kind android and his girlfriend stumble through one village disaster after another, each one more cheerfully nonsensical than the last.

Robocchi is a fun-loving, mischievous android with a TV set built into his stomach, living in a peaceful village alongside a crowd of other robots. All of them were made by the eccentric and rather lecherous Dr. Art Deko. Though he is a machine, Robocchi has a warm, kind heart and is always ready to lend a friend a hand. Together with his human girlfriend Kurumi, he stumbles into all sorts of wacky adventures in this lighthearted sci-fi comedy, reportedly inspired in large part by Dr. Slump.
