Badminton is the sport nobody thinks about until this show reminds you that a man's entire life can hinge on one match he lost years ago. Mikoto carries that loss into every fluorescent-lit office day, every drink proposal, every rally with people who will never know what it cost him to show up. This is about the weight of talent when talent wasn't enough, and what happens when you stop being the prodigy and start being the person who has to live with it.

Mikoto Shiratori was a badminton prodigy as a child, but an incident at the Inter-High finals in high school left him vowing never to play doubles again. After failing to meet the standards of Mitsuhoshi Bank's corporate team, he is let go and recruited by Sunlight Beverage for its own corporate badminton squad. He expected to focus on the sport, but he also has to work in sales by day, with practice held in the evenings. Worse, his co-worker Tatsuru Miyazumi wants him as a doubles partner. Mikoto must confront his past trauma and adjust to his new workplace if he is to make the most of his career in this sports drama.
