A kid wakes up from a coma with a year stolen from his memory, and the sport that nearly killed him is still waiting. RE-MAIN doesn't let him, or you, have the easy recovery story. Every practice is a negotiation between who he was, who he is now, and whether his body will cooperate with either version.

Minato Kiyomizu wakes in a hospital after a car accident put him in a coma for months, and he finds that his memories of middle school are gone. He learns he was once a standout water polo player who won a national title, but after realizing how far his current self is from his former level, he throws himself into rehabilitation and decides to begin high school without the sport. On his first day at Yamanami High, a promise and reminders of his old skill draw him back, and he joins the school's water polo club. The team is weak and short of the seven players it needs, so while relearning the basics, Minato and his clubmates must recruit new members as they face trouble after trouble in this sports drama.
