Three monks and the chore of fetching water are at the heart of this comedy film, drawn from an old Chinese proverb. One monk carries two buckets of water by himself. Two monks split the job between them. Once a third monk arrives, none of them is willing to go for water at all. The Music genre points to a score that plays a central part in telling this simple story.
