A magical girl transformation that turns you into a dinosaur is funny exactly once, then the show commits to it completely. Season two knows the joke landed because it was never actually a joke, just the most efficient answer to "what do you do when a teenager gets real weapons and real enemies?" The brutality stays grounded, the absurdity never winks at the camera, and somehow that's what makes it work.

Seizei Ganbare! Mahou Shoujo Kurumi 2 is the second season of the comedic magical girl ONA, running 25 episodes. In the earlier season, Kurumi Azuchimomoyama is an ordinary 14-year-old at Egaogaoka Middle School until an angel named Devilun turns her into Prima Angel, a magical girl dinosaur angel warrior. Devilun sends her against the evil Darkness Whales organization, and she mows down its members without discrimination, using blood-reeking weapons.
