The Keroro Platoon works best when nobody knows what they're actually doing, and this movie leans hard into that chaos. You get the full alien invasion comedy bit without needing to have watched the series, which means the absurdist humor lands immediately: a frog sergeant, his crew of misfits, and a girl with a dragon book in France, no explanation necessary. The tonal whiplash between goofy slice-of-life moments and sudden action sequences will either feel like genuine Keroro energy or completely derail you depending on what you signed up for. If you're the type who laughs at a character suddenly gaining a dragon form out of nowhere, this one knows exactly who it's talking to.

Enormous, mysterious beings known as Dragon Tails turn up all over the world. Worried about the threat they might pose, the Keroro Platoon sets out to study them on a global scale, but Tamama disappears partway through the work. The search for their missing comrade takes the platoon to Mont-Saint-Michel in France. There they meet Sion, an enigmatic girl who carries the Dragon Book. They have little idea of the secrets she keeps, or of the disaster that threatens to wipe out the world. The film is a comedy feature from the Sergeant Keroro franchise.
